Me too, and a tear to my eye, I'm such a softie :-)

I decided I would like to get him to do a painting for me and contacted him. I sent him a photo of my youngest daughter and our golden retriever at the beach, but then we lost our Golden Retriever 2 1/2 years ago. He was 14 and such a laid back lad. So many children had learnt to stand up by hanging on to him and lots shared his bed.

I continued saving up and contacted the artist at the beginning of the summer. We were going down to Cornwall and arranged to meet him again.

He has just completed the painting and it arrived, framed, in the post today.

I am speechless. It brought a lump to my throat. A lovely memory of our many holidays in Cornwall, our lovely dog who is no longer with us and my daughter who was 3 at the time is now 19 and studying out in the US.

Anyway, thought I'd share with you. The painting and the photo it was done from.
That is just wonderful no wonder you got so emotional xx
