I'm here now! Just finished. Been to toddlers today and had a heated chat about fees going up. Made a wobbly laminated caterpillar to help with number recognition. And generally had an OK day. Only one day to go as I'm off on Friday to go and see Robbie Williams. The world's good with me

Warm, humid and dark today, think we're brewing for a downpour...

It hasn't been a great day, can't put my finger on it, except lots of schoolies who haven't been listening!

Cold and dull, I have the heating on. Feeling a bit off myself hope I'm not getting anything, been sneezed on all week by mindee who doesn't know how to use a tissue even after many reminders. I've got my grandson for the weekend and plan to take him to the zoo. Fingers crossed and dosing up on parcetamol.

    Well since you ask....
Had first 2 children (ages 7 and 10) arrive at 7am, next 2 (age 4 today and 6) at 7.30am and another (age 6) arrived at 8.35 - 5 mins after we normally set off for school... 7 year old argued constantly with the other children and dragged my ds down stairs by the collar as 'he's not allowed upstairs'. Did school run with my ds age 3 and dd age 9, then collected 2 year old, walked 4 year old to nursery (all in pouring rain!) then finally got home with ds and 2 year old at 10am. Had lovely time playing at home and local soft play until 3pm when the fun started again... 7yr old pushing my ds before we even got out of playground and continued alternately bickering, crying, telling tales and being generally rude until hometime at 5.30 - then Mum stayed for chat until 6pm and told me that the little darling was tired and the other children wind him up! Just had tea, vacuumed, cleaned, scraped most of the playdough out of the carpet and about to get my 2 to bed then relax! (Until 7am tomorrow morning when it all starts again!)
Just read back what I've typed and wondering why I love my job so much!

    I had a lovely day!

I had no children here until 4.15pm! I filed my tax return ( didn't have to pay as much tax as I expected! am now trying very hard NOT to spend the extra money i'd saved on 'stuff', but to save it for something I really want! ) got all my LJ/assessments up to date, along with forms to amend contracts! just need to pin parents down to go through things!

I then went to the library and oops! they were selling off lots of books, and quite a few of our favourites were there, so I bought them! got 12 for £2.90!

collected everyone from school clubs and home for tea and then we all sat and watched the new wacky races DVD! ( I kept telling them about it, so in the end bought the dvd as none had ever seen it! )

took DD & DS swimming and just got home!

    Had a lovely day - it's my birthday :-)

DH did the school run for me and then took me to the cinema to see 'now you see me' - was very good but I did stuff myself out in popcorn far too early in the day - I didn't eat anything again until dinner time and the film started at 10:30 lol

Got home to a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the doorstep.

Worked after school and then my friend surprised me and popped in with my goddaughter - was lovely as we rarely get time to catch up these days.

After dinner I got cake yay!! :-)

Today I took mindee & ds to the library and to feed the ducks. Spent the whole time at library stopping my ds from trying to climb the leg of an old man :-/
Feeding the ducks was an adventure I never wish to repeat!!! We ran out of bread & got chased by about 20 angry ducks! I ended up bunging mindee in pushchair, stuffing ds under my arm and running for my life! It's funny now but at the time all that was going through my head was 'death by duck, death by duck'
Maybe I'll take a whole loaf next time

I spent the day with a grumpy ds who has a yucky eye and so much snot. Just relaxing and tidying the house.

Hi, I had a nice day yesterday. Actually got my last date for one of my families, don't want them to go, but needed to know when it was going to be. Got paid from all outstanding families. But the best bit was now my monster child no longer attends here, I actually managed to get all the others fully engaged in play and activities. Hardly any throwing/kicking/whining/disruptive unwanted behaviours. Was lovely.
