Been to toddler group
Been commended on my professionalism
Been told I'm so normal with all of the children and that its refreshing to see
Dealt with 2.5 yr old tantrum in Tesco as though I were blind and deaf
THEN THE AFTERNOON ARRIVED!!
Children sleeping (all good)
Phone rings. My Wednesday parent begins questioning me as to how long her lo had been crying for yesterday as her voice is still hoarse!
OH DEAR HERE WE GO!
Pleasant phone call , I reiterated what I'd told mum yesterday upon collection and stated that it was on and off am but more persistent (40min) during lunch time and that lo had really belted out her screams so was not surprised her throat was hoarse.
Mum was ok, but still leaves a bitter taste, I hate being questioned, especially about crying after all I'm not a magician and children do not have an off switch!! I can only do my best, but in a childcare environment constant pacification is impossible!
ROLL ON 5.30pm!
