    Default what else can happen

This has truly been the most stressful bank holiday on record!

Saturday our beloved family dog died. 15 year old king Charles which I got for my 15th birthday. My dad and him where inseparable so when I moved out he stayed with my mum and dad.

Monday I went into hospital for my 38 week midwife appointment and as I left recieved a call that my grandad has sadly passed too.

My mum, dad, sister with kids and aunt turn up at mine for a lovely planned bank holiday lunch only to be sad and upset at the news. All my birthing support get on first plane out ti spain where my family live.

Im so sad as I cant go and say goodbye to my darling grandad.

Tuesday have to go in for a scan at hospital again and baby is breech! Was sent straight up to see consultant who said she'll try to turn baby with an evc procedure. Baby's heartbeat is through the roof and won't settle so 6 hours later im sent home without procedure.

Wednesday get a call that my blood result show I have too much sugar in my system so I have to come in for a diabetes glucose test. Off I go!

Reaults have just come back and they are fine phew but the consultant wants to try and turn baby tomorrow.
So what else could happen this week?

Sorry for the rant just wanted to vent a little.

    Thanks for listening.

Do what you can tonight to encourage babe to turn.
Spend time on all 4s so he/she is out of your pelvis ( more space to turn)
Theres also a method where you lie on an ironing board with your feet above your head. again its so baby comes out of the pelvis so can turn.

My ds1 was breech and he turned between the scan and the birth - Id done both of the above on my midwifes advice , dont know if either worked or it was coincidence. Did feel silly propped upside down on an ironing board though!

Oh bless you, sounds like u have had a rubbish week

Was only thinking of u earlier and wondered if baby had made an appearance as I hadn't seen you on here...

I too have heard if u spend time on all fours it helps, my stepmum was told to scrub the floor as the motion helps to turn baby.

Sending lots of hugs and positive vibes xx

    Oh bless you xx
Sorry for the news on your grandad and dog. It's sad that you cannot go to say goodbye in person, but I'm sure you will find a way of saying goodbye .
As for baby being breach, my ds was right up to labour day. I was advised to scrub the kitchen floor on all fours. Don't know if that's what did it, but you could eat your dinner of them! Also to sit whenever you sit , on a hard backed chair backwards and rest forwards on pillows.
    Good luck Hun x

Poor you what a horrible bank holiday, lots of hugs been there with grandparents and more recently with my dog.

Re the baby my eldest DD turned the night before my scan but I too was told to get down on my hands and knees and was the floor to help me - not sure if it did but she definitely turned although it had shades of alien watching my stomach move round

    Take care

Yay!!!!! Now positive vibes for a quick labour before she decides to flip again lol.

So sorry to hear about your Grandad and dog. But brilliant news about the baby. :-)
Could you have a little service of your own at home for your Grandad as you can't be there? Maybe plant a bush in your garden in his memory?

I'm sure I'll think of something to do for him. I reckon just ensuring that baby and I get through this safely will be a start.

I'm hoping my nan will come over to meet the baby but we'll see.
