I am doing one for the first time tonight using this recipe:

4 portions Blue Dragon Medium Egg Noodle Nests

    2 tbsp vegetable oil

500g chicken, cut into thin strips

    1 onion, roughly chopped

1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced

2 yellow peppers, cored, de-seeded and cut into small chunks

1 large courgette, very finely sliced

I have been pestered to do one for ages but have had no clue where to start so I am giving this one a whirl lol

2 sachets Blue Dragon Chow Mein Stir-Fry Sauce

I've adapted this from Jamie's 15 min cookbook.
You can use Duck, Chicken or Beef and I serve with either rice or noodles and some prawn crackers.

Thinly slice up your meat and put into a hot pan to brown with a little sesame oil.
Chop spring onions, peppers, mushrooms, red chillies & garlic
Add the chopped veg and stir fry.
Make up a sauce of 4tbsp of hoi sin sauce, 2tsp of runny honey, juice of 1 lime, 1 tsp of Chinese five spice.
Add the sauce to the meat and veg for the last few mins to coat and as it fries, it goes lovely and sticky.
At the very last min add a handful of sesame seeds to give some crunch.

    Yum

I do these various seasonings / sauces:

Garlic, Ginger, chinese five spice, soy sauce & honey

Sweet chilli sauce, garlic & Soy sauce

Thai 7 spice, garlic & Fish Sauce

Garlic, Ketchup, red wine vinegar and honey (Makes a sweet & sour style sauce)

Waitrose do a yummy sauce it's Lingham's Garlic, Ginger & Chilli. It's in a tall thin bottle with a bright yellow lable. I add it to all my stirfrys (and other things that need a bit of taste)

Hoisin & Oyster sauces are very tasty too

my fave which you can cook in traditional sesame oil or just plain old virgin olive oil which is healthier

    bunch of spring onion
good bit of ginger grated or thinly sliced and chopped,
small chilli if you like spicy,
    2 cloves garlic, sliced
splash of soy and splash of oyster sauce

    shitake mushrooms
    thinly sliced sweet pepper selection
    mangetout or sugar snap peas
    babycorn

fry chicken/beef/pork with garlic ginger onion and splash of soy and oyster until browned
add veggies and fry up for 5-10 mins
add a little water and leave to simmer for 5 mins

serve with rice/noodles or if you are carb free try slicing up thinly and cooking savoy cabbage and have as pretend noodles. Once its cooked just drain and add a little soy sauce or juice from the wok after cooking the stir fry to flavour it.
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got

Yes they are fine. They also have some in the aisle where the soy sauce etc is. All very nice quick and easy.

watch the chinese pre-bottled sauces, they are soooo full of salt and sugar - so beware dieters. Buy a big bottle add a dash of the sauce, then use water to make up the rest and fill up your flavours with spices (ginger, garlic etc)
