    Default Scarlet fever

Scarlet fever is doing its rounds, I just wondered if anyone knew if it was treated and what the isolation period was?

Ooooh, is it? I had this when I was 17 and it was horrible! I know I needed lots of calamine lotion because it was sooo itchy. I don't know about the isolation period but I was to ill too go anywhere. I think I was on general painkillers. No one else in my family caught it though. x

My ds had this last yr, dr said I had to shut for 1 week, Hpa said if feeling well after 24 hr of antibiotic can go back to school. He was wiped out for first 3 days then bounced back, it's not so bad these days x
