my cats missing
she followed me and the dog out today at about 1pm and followed us up the road then disapered so I thought she'd gone home but there has been no sign of her since , she is only 5months old and very much loved by the mindees and us and was due to 'the' op next friday. how long do girl cats normaly wander for? I thought it was just boy cats who wander like this, our other cat barely leaves the garden. we have searched all the surrounding area and theres no sign of her, we do live by a road but its not major and shes not flat on it thank god but I understand they crawl of and hide sometimes if they are injured so we have searched under all bushes etc we coudl find and now have put it out on facebook what else can we do

sorry to hear this hun i really hope you find her soon.
Hopefully someones taken her in in the surrounding area?
Good luck xx

I hope you find her soon x

Oh no so sorry to hear your cat is missing.
Put some posters up, ring round local vets, any animal rescue centres in the area, local cats protection league branch, facebook, gumtree, the more people and organisations know she is missing the more likely you are to find her.
You should also ring the council just in case she has been run over and removed by them (sorry not a nice phone call to make).
Does she have a collar on and is she microchipped?
Cats are so inquisitive she may have got herself shut in somewhere, hopefully she will come home soon

Hi Mushpea
Was it raining where you are, she could have got into someones garage or shed to shelter and got shut in. My friends cat did that, was missing a few days and my friend put a leaflet through the surrounding houses and he was found in a shed. He was fine but very hungry.
When I first got my cat, she did not come back home all day, I went out with my DD at about 11pm when it was quiet and kept calling her. She came running out of a drive about 3 roads from my house - I think she had got herself lost.
I hope she arrives back home soon.
-
try calling her whilst shaking a box of dried cat food/treats.. always works when my cats are out & they soon come running good luck hun & keep us updated xx
-
Oh dear, sorry to hear about your cat. We put letters through doors asking for them to search the gardens, garages and sheds when our cat ran off. Hoping for good news soon
-
Thanks folks, I rang the vets yesterday and have put it on several fb sites, there was one sighting on the opposite side of our estate so we went with treat bag in hand rattling and calling but no luck, she didn't come home last night so gonna make some posters today, the vets say she could be in heat so out searching for a male but you would think she would come home to eat, she's not mucrochipped as the vets said they would rather do it when she's spayed as its such a big needle, she's supposed to be spayed Friday coming!

Hope she turns up safely and hopefully just been locked in somewhere x

Fingers crossed for you, xx

oh she's definatly grounded, will be a bit of a nightmare though cause she always dashes out the front door when the mindees arrive so the plan is to shut her in the kitchen during arrivals and collections, our other cat will have to just suffer it too as we have locked the cat flap one way so she can get in but neither can go out although our other cat dosent go far or go out much so she will just have to sit at the door with the dog to be let out lol.
