Default Wedding guest song choice ideas.

DH and I have been invited to mindees parents wedding. Bride's parents have asked when guests RSVP to include a song choice. I am assuming that when the DJ introduces the song he will say who requested it. So I am asking you cool lot for ideas, nothing embrrassing as I think we will be expected to dance to our own choice.
Why hasn't Gary Barlow come to my rescue yet?

I love this song too - also love the film 'Play misty for me' in which it features - Singing it now much to the disgust of my DD and DH

(This is not a wedding suggestion.)

DW just wandered by, nosied at this thread and suggested that 'our song' should be:

The Buzzcocks: Ever Fallen in Love (with someone you shouldn't have fallen in love with.)

    There's love - eh?

Well, at a wedding I always request 'Come on Eileen' and 'I'm in the Mood for Dancing'. I don't care how uncool I am, those songs make me happy and usually get everyone up!

We did this when we got married, we asked all our guests for a song choice that they would then have to dance to!

Some of the above suggestions, although lovely, do not make great dance songs! They are (probably) not asking you for slow dance choices? I would go for something upbeat and easy to dance to, that others will join you with!

The most popular songs are our wedding were the typical cheesy songs!

Go for something you and hubbie like!

We asked our guests to do this as well but the dj didn't get anyone's names, just the list of songs - we did it so more people would dance to/sing along to/enjoy the music instead of being stuck with our choices or worse a dodgy dj's choices haha xx
    xx
