When I read about it this morning it reminded me of this story I read about years ago. So heartbreaking

may not be quite as dramatic, am i'm sure the childrens ties (bouncers etc) will look a lot more pleasing to the eye, but I really struggle to see how they can serious meet their childrens needs whilst working a job, it impossible.

I cant see how day in day out, from birth to 4 years they can have children in that office, let alone other jobs!! They havent met thier targets, the children are bored stiff!! This is hopefully going to get us lots more work!!!!

I loved going back to work part time when I had my first 2 children. I worked 2.5 days a week and it suited me perfectly

No way would I have wanted to take them with me

Your comment did make me chuckle! its not like anyone really takes their baby to work in this country so we are hardly going to have a sudden rush!

No i know that, but anyone thinking ooo I will think about taking my child to work, will definitely not, and any government person thinking of rolling out some massive scheme will think twice!! Hopefully this will show that it DOES NOT WORK!!

    ha ha ha!

I was going to say I've had my children at work with me for the last 17 years

Seriously though, most of us know how difficult it can be having your children with you when we're working...and our jobs are designed so they should be with us! If we find it hard at times, how on earth would people manage in a job that isn't designed with chidren in mind?

Snap!! Why I chose this career.

I was a Catering Manager of large Staff Restaurants before I had my daughter. I can't imagine taking a baby into that environment.

In an office though it could enable some parents to go back to work earlier and if they can do this for the first six months then it may help the parent move on to a different type of childcare between 6 and 9 months.

I don't see how it can work for 1-4yr olds unless some sort of creche is run within the company.

    Its crazy ..

I worked from home doing admin for a friends business when my dd was a baby and it was virtually impossible to do anything whilst she was awake, I felt so guilty bouncing her on my knee and trying to amuse her whilst trying to send emails etc ... it really is impossible to do, poor babies sat in an office all day ...
