I dont mind traveling and for this year it will be within britian but am working on getting us all passports so next we can go abroad

    i don't have teenagers, but ....

i'm in north yorkshire and flamingoland is down the road. it has some big rides and little rides, including a couple of VERY wet rides! plus a zoo ( with sealion show/bird show and also you can book to feed/help with assorted animals ) there is a holiday village as part of it, and i think that within the village there is a big swim pool/flume etc, plus entertainment in the evenings and stuff!

from flamingoland, you are only 40mins from York, 45 mins from scarborough, 45 mins from whitby and best of all, 15 min from the beautiful north york moors with lots of walks and amazing scenary! the dales are only and hour and half away too.

Center Parcs? Ours will be 13, 11 and 9 when we go this year, they do an activity each a day at most and we spend most of our time swimming.....

For three years we have been to the manor house hotel in okehampton Devon, it's a sports and craft hotel with something going on for everyone most things are included in the price so it's not money money all the time.

Things to do include : golf tennis swimming canoeing yoga holding birds if prey and reptiles. Pottery painting t shirt printing snooker abjuring archery walking oh tge list just goes on and on they have a website and you can also ring for a brochure.

    Would Definetly recemend for teenagers

My 2 go with their dad to Centre Parks - it's the first year (16 and 18) when the oldest didn't really want to go.

There is lots to do - but I think it's getting more expensive so maybe watch out for deals they run them through the year

We have taken to going camping for 1 holiday and abroad for another. That way the boys ( I have 15,16 & 18) have something to do as well as my daughter (10 but disabled so much younger cognitively).

Camping wise we go to sites that have activities such as water sports, or 'outward bound' style activities and then also travel out ( we are into castles etc)

Abroad, Egypt was great each time we went, boys also enjoyed the mixture of beach activities and days out on the Greek Islands. Ibiza etc are ok but less commercialised holidays are our thing really.

we stay on a farm in Cornwall - have done since kids were 8 and 11. Activities have changed as the years have passed.

Still go to beach - but instead of sandcastles its photography and walks along the cliff top

no more playparks, do national trust places instead

They get a chance to choose a days activity or 2 each - might be go karting or a zoo

This year (they are now 15 and almost 18) I have got the whole family into geocaching which we spent a lot of time doing it visiting some lovely places and having some great walks. DD has been going with camera on her as usual, we laughed a lot and got very wet and muddy

We also took laptops and Xbox - and let them play without nagging all the time! I take my cardmaking stuff and DH builds scratch built farm models so we do our crafts with no interuptions. Evenings sorted

Next year DD will not be coming with us - her choice, we didn't tell her she couldn't come! Bit sad really, it goes so fast but she has some great memories of holidays to keep forever and I am sure she will return to Cornwall on her own or with a partner some day
Happy to be back with the Greenies

Mine are now aged, 12, 14, 18 and 20, we always got a self catering cottage. My younger two wouldn't cope well with anywhere like centre parcs, or haven.

    Holidays always involve, museums etc
