Lets all get inspired to est healthy and shift the blubber now its 2012 I thought we could share our favourite diet recipes so we can all add a little variety to our cooking

I'll start with one of my faves- curries potato and peas

• 1 medium-sized potato (around 175g or 7oz)
• 1 tsp of vegetable oil
• 1 pinch of cumin seeds
• 1 clove of garlic
• 50 g. of onion, chopped
• 100 g. of peas
• 1 small tin of chopped tomatoes (227g)
• 1 tsp of curry powder

Cut the potatoes into 2cm (1") dice and boil for 10-15 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and add the cumin seeds and crushed garlic. Cook for around a minute and then add the chopped onion and continue to cook until softened.
3. Stir in the peas, tomatoes and curry powder and cook over a low heat for 3-4 minutes.
4. Gently stir in the potatoes and serve
