Well I went shopping yesterday and have all the goods in ready for a very healthy week where I am going to cut out all my bread, potatoes and chocolate.

I really struggle with keeping on track though so I'm really trying to get into the mindset.

I purposely haven't brought any cakes, biscuits etc this week.

Fingers crossed I get off to a good start xx

Yes bread is my down fall!! I have brought some horrid wheat and gluten free stuff so I am not tempted!

I've taken a real fancy for dried cranberries, they are a good sweet fix! Xx

Guys anyone get tingling or numbness in arms with this? Felt the other night when I was swimming that my arms were weaker,
Read somewhere after that dieting can kill the muscle so you shouldn't do much cardio when reducing calories (contrary to what we normally hear!) but the numbness and tingling is there sometimes even when not on a fast day.. Is it normal?!

    Hiya,

I've tried a few diets and the only one that worked for me longer term was slimming world, I've been to group then online then back to group as feel I need the encouragement and kick up bum in group I'm never hungry can have choc synned as a treat and the kids eat some of my meals too, there are some great recipes diet coke chicken, mushy pea curry, sw kfc. It was a lot easier than the quick results of the Cambridge diet i tried and generally lost av 2lbs week on s.w without the hard work. Oh and body magic helps too. Good luck with whatever method u choose xx

Im finding sw is working for me too. Although ive been really naughty from Thursday through to yesterday. I blame needing extra calories for my body to heal after my op lol.

Ive lost a stone in 7/8 weeks and have made a few changes to my cooking. So it should stay off too.

Oh gosh, no, I have been on fast diet for about 9months and I have never had any numbness or tingling...in fact quite the opposite, I used to get pins and needles in my feet a lot, and I haven't had it for ages! You can buy from select chemists, 5:2 fast diet vitamin supplement, I don't know if it is actually endorsed by the diet, or whether it's just a vitamin company using that for advertisement, but perhaps you could try that? I don't think you should feel like this as a result of any diet...perhaps pay a visit to pharmacy and ask them? Xx

So I made 350 calories fish and. Chips tonight,, was quite tasty (obv not as good as fried!) but feel like I haven't eaten yet! Hope they will hit my tummy soon as saved most of my calories for it!!

Thanks for advise adelemarie will take a vitamin supplement and see how we go for a couple of days. Seems to be a deficiency in salt or carbs depending on which site u look at so put plenty on my chips!

Haha yes because my body feels so good afterwards, I don't feel flabby and bloated, and I have lost weight on it and it makes me feel good hahahaha

I also like the thought that it will prolong my life, and all the illnesses and diseases it promises to help protect me against. (Whether these are true are not is debatable-but I feel good, so who cares?) xx
