i saw it on australian masterchef - the foodcritic did a masterclass of 'cheats' and this was one of them. It looked lovely , sweet and sticky and very easy. he also put those bananas that have gone a little brow in the freezer , once frozen mush a bit with a fork and you have perfect banana icecream!

Yes I saw it on you tube ....it does look sticky ...just wondered about the taste
Banana ice cream now that sounds yummy

Not tried that but have done gammon in diet coke and chicken in fanta for sweet and sour. Both lovely. Of you use normal coke if will be synned if you use diet coke its free. You can do them in a slow cooker too

It's delish. I chuck in loads of extra SuperFree veg too. However I do find it rather sweet so add chilli to cut through that.
Passata is Sieved Tomatoes. Rather like a sauce.

i know diet coke/fanta etc might be 'free' but those sweeteners are soooo bad for you.
You'd be better off cooking it in wine - lol
wine ....!!!! i can think of better uses

I have done ham in coke and its lovely - a nice alternative to honey, mustard etc.
