    Default Update service for DBS

Hi, They really don't make this easy What is this, if you don't sign up to DBS update service within 19 days of receiving DBS then do we have to fill in the form all over again? It takes such a lot of time and energy to fill all these forms in as it is. I havn't completed application form yet. Louise

You can sign up for the updates during the beginning stages of the application process. Once you have your application number (it begins with a E ) you can apply for the updates via the email that gives you your E number.

The downside of applying now is that you would pay today, but could get your DBS in x months time, so loosing x months worth of updates
The upside - by doing it now, you won't forget after, and have to struggle with the 19 days at a later date.
