Registering new setting

I've made my application to ofsted now so just waiting for registration visit, do I need yo register as a new business with companies house and tax man etc?

You need to register as self-employed with HMRC (easy to do via their website). I don't think you have to register with Companies House ( I didn't!). That's just for much larger businesses ( if memory serves me correctly).
