Default How long does it take?

Hi, can anybody tell me how long the process might be from applying to Ofsted. Ive been waiting for what seems like forever for a visit from my development worker(not really sure if thats what theyre called) to come round to walk through house etc and advise if I need to do anything else before applying.
Ive had some interest from parents already and need an idea of when I might be able to start taking mindees.
    Any thoughts?
    Teresa x

It varies from area to area.
I'm in Kent and it took me 9 months from start to finish.
ICP course, CRB check, Pead First Aid, Safe Guarding, Ofsted visit etc.

Hope you don't have to wait too long

When you send off your forms to Ofsted there is a form(s) in the pack that you fill in (also anyone in your home over the age of 16 fills one in too) then when you send the forms back to Ofsted they send the actual CRB forms back to you and you fill them in, there is also a verification of documents form(cant remember its exact name) that you have to get someone to sign (there is a list of professions that the person who signs your form must be one of) its just to say that they have seen certain documents eg - birth certificate, passport etc. Then you send the CRB form back to Ofsted and they send it off for you.

    Hope that helps !
