Just wondering if anyone elses CRB's are taking ages to come back?
Its been 10 weeks now

Hiya,

My CRB check took ages, the first form I sent ended up getting lost, in total it took 4 months to come back. Mine got sent to a police station in Devizes(i live in Swindon) so that was another reason why it took so long. I think the CRB people said that if it gets to 60 or 70 days from when they recieve it they are allowed to tell you what police station it has been sent to. I was told after this period and called the police station direct and it was dealt with on the same day.

ahh thanks - thats not good is it - we have had a letter saying that they have got 10 days to get it to me now.....

, they confirmed its clear-then i have to wait for my certificate of registration - i just want to get started. Fingers crossed it wont be long now......

My dh's, took a long time. I think it depends where in the country you are! if you have any part of it that needs completing by the Met police, they have a huge back log!

We eventually got dh's back, but we were phoning Met Police and CRB daily, then we wrote to our local MP, who was very helpful and got things sorted for us.

Good luck, hopefully you won't have too much longer to wait.
