Default parents coming to visit on sunday

    Hi everyone,

Havent been online for a few days as busy getting all my policies, welcome pack ect in order.

I have handed in my notice at work am off sick 2 weeks then back in for the last 2 weeks so not too bad.

I have had a phone call from potential customers they said they are very interested in me loooking after their little boy (1yr old) full time.
I am so excited, but very nervous about them visiting. I just hope i have everything in order.
I am still a bit concerened about my fees though as i dont want to put them off. The price round here is between £3.50-4.00 per hour and have worked out that i will need to charge £4.00 to be worth my while.
I will be taking a big pay cut from my job at the moment and am taking a bit of a risk but am hoping that it will all pay off in the end(or my hubby will kill me!!)

Their son is in nursery at the moment but the travelling is a problem. They pay £37 for a full day at the moment , mine will work out at £38.00 per day all meals included. Do you think they will think this is too much?

Sorry that was a bit long winded. x

It is the norm around here that childminders are cheaper than nurseries. I am £35 a day and the nursery is £44 a day.

I dont know if this is the case everywhere though.

Dont forget that you will soon get other calls and once you have your 3 under 5 at £3.50 an hour you will be earning £10.50 an hour and given the amount you can write off against tax its much better than it sounds!

If that is the going rate for your area then you shouldnt have any problems. I struggle to get £3.10 an hour where i am but every part of the country is different
    good luck anyway

If they are used to paying just a pound less & wouldn't be travelling as far i don't really see the problem. Its the travelling not the price thats making them move.

Good luck anyway - let us know how you go
