    Default Help please

This may be a silly question but who do I need to let know that I'll be using my house as business use?

Also I read somewhere about a business plan is this for personal use?

    Thank you in advance

Home as business use- your home insurance needs to know. If you are caring for a larger number of children your local planning dept might want to know (local planning rules). If you are renting you need to inform your landlord. I can't think of anyone else you need to inform.

Business plan- When starting your own business it is usual to write a business plan and if you were borrowing money you would do so, I believe. For CMing it is wise to be planning how your business will be sustainable- your fees, expences, demand in your area, how many children you would need and for what hours/days, basically if you are going to be able to run a profitable business and pay your bills. But no one wants to see your business plan, in my experience, as we are not borrowing money to get started (usually!).

Your accountant needs to know if you have one
HMRC also so that you can claim all the legitimate expenses because you work from home....there are quite a few not usually mentioned in the packages used by cms.
