paid registration fee, how long for pre reg visit?

Hi all,

I have completed all my forms, so have my referees, and i just paid my registration invoice to Ofsted, just wondered how long others had to wait for the call to come through to book pre registration visit?

Hi, I can't answer your question as I've only just applied to Ofsted last week. Can I ask how long it took for Ofsted to ask for payment?

It took Ofsted 1 week to send the invoice, and also 1 week to send a letter to my referees to get my references, so pretty quick, I have a few bits of paperwork to do, and revise eyfs again and again!, but I feel like I have some massive test to pass its very stressful!

Hi Emma just wondering if you have submitted your health declaration to Ofsted yet as I haven't because the form didn't mention it?

Don't get your hopes up girls, I've just had to wait 12 weeks for Norfolk Social Services to reply to Ofsted with their checks!! I applied 30.12.14 and still awaiting my pre-reg visit.

I find it very frustrating as I was a childminder from 2000 to 2013 but resigned for family reasons, wish I had kept up my registration.

Yes i posted mine of when I completed the application, they will just match it up with your application once its received, seems a strange way to do things, I thought it would make more sense to send it with some kind of reference number, but hey ho! I have visions of some poor person with a desk full of health declarations frantically trying to match them all up!

Wow thats a long time! What do they check with social services then? How did you find out thats what was going on, when I check the online tracking it just says opened by whoever, closed by whoever, no in depth details?

I have been ringing both Ofsted and Social Services weekly. Social Services wouldn't put me through to correct department though, they just pass on messages, or so they said!! No idea what they check for, had a vague reply of "in case you are known to us"!!

Hi I'm in Derby and mine took a week to get the call and another week for the inspection. My inspector did ask me how long I'd waited as she never knows how long OFSTED have had averything before they pass details onto the inspectors, so I assume there's no set time really.

Hope it comes through soon for you!
