    Default DBS for assistants

    Help please!

Me and my Husband both received our DBS certificates last March when I was going through the registration process (at a cost of £52 each).

My Husband works part time and is available after school to help me with the cooking and cleaning.
We've decided to get him registered as my assistant and he's just done his Paediatric First Aid course to get the ball rolling.
We've been on the Ofsted website to complete his EY2 form, and it says that if the DBS certificate is over 19 days old, he needs to apply for a new one! When we've clicked the link for Capita and filled out his details, it states he needs to pay another £52!

Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? Is it anything to do with Capita's new update service?

    Sadly it's correct

Any change in circumstances where you need to do an EY2 requires you to first have a DBS attached to the update service ... xx
