    Default Lawn v paving

I am considering replacing my lawn to a more sensible surface to enable year round play on it
    Has anyone else done this?

I'm lucky as I have a paved patio running all around my house which is brilliant for playing on during the winter months esp when the lawn gets wet and soggy xx

I replaced my gravel area with fake grass. Its best thing I did, for the children and my dogs, no mud, dries quickly after its rained and soft area to play on. It doesn't have to be expensive, look online for end of season/roll reductions. I got 10m2 for £180 and laid it myself with help of a friend.

    Default Question for CH1957

CH1967- Was it a lot of work to lay the artificial lawn yourself? Did you need to dig up your existing lawn?

I would LOVE to lay artificial, would be so much better with kids and dogs, especially in the winter months but the cost has always put me off and didn't think I'd be able to do it myself but maybe I could.
