    Hey all,

Think I need a back up childminder in case of emergencies? Problem is I've no idea who could do it. What did you all do? X

Hi I have a childminder who lives round the corner to me and we have a letter we give to parents for permission for us to cover each other in emergencies. We have met at school and go to the local childrens centre where we have a childminders playgroup every week. You could see if you have one in your area and get to know other cm's in your area and ask someone local to you if the will be your back up, we all need one so someone will, I'm sure, will help you out. Good luck in your search

I was given a mentor childminder when I started and I asked her - she only lives up the road.
