    Default Changes to Ofsted reg

This may have been discussed already (sorry not been on for a while) but does anyone know how much they are thinking of changing their fee's too?

Had the letter last week & at mo I only care for under 5's and don't really want to care for 5-8's but you never know. I'd like to know how much it's all going to be before making my decision.

I think it's unfair of ofsted to ask us to even make a decision before telling us their new fee's anyway.

When I read the initial consultation and commented on it, it was £104 or £114 a year for childminders and £114 a year for nurseries and playgroups. When I responded to the consultation, I pointed out how unfair it is that a childminder would be subject to the nearly the same fees as a nursery when we earn so much less.

Here's hoping the reaction they got was enough to make them decide to leave things as is or at least a much smaller increase in fees.
Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?

I paid £15 last year to register I think...

At the consultation they were talking about over £100

    It's really worrying isn't it!

Everything is getting so much more costly nowadays. I'm hardly going to be able to afford to eat or leave the house soon!

I'm just hoping when they decide it will be a sensible decision and something we can all easily afford to pay.

I agree with you Lorri, I hope they see sense and get it sorted out to an affordable fee. Both my hubby & I are registered, so we will have it all to pay twice!
