    Default headlice - update...

Oh dear, I'm feeling really guilty now.

Child has turned up today with headlice still. I've text mum and tried ringing (no answer) to imform her. I've been up to school and double checked their policy at the office, and now I've kept the child off school.........

Going to give it 30 minutes more and if no answer from mum I'll start working my way through the emergency contact list. child was a bit upset I wouldn't let her go to school, but now home she is happily playing with her brother and my DS (her hair is in a tight bun!).

    Why feel guilty ?

You have done everything right and you had already told this parent

Let us know what she says

    Good luck

I feel guilty because I wasn't sure if I should have been the one to decide that she shouldn't go to school.

It's the first time I've had to deal with anything like this. I tend to over panic!

Dont feel guilty - you are abiding by the school policy - not like they did not have any prior warning - hope you contact them soon.

The school policy is that children with live headlice should not attend until they have been treated and there is no live lice left.

Got through to no one as of yet, can't even get the school to answer. I'm wondering if there is a problem with my phone!

That's annoying - could you use your mobile if you think your landline's playing up?

    Hope you get sorted soon

Well, hopefully it will be lesson learned on her part. After all, she knew about the head lice and didn't treat it. If she's worried about money, tell her to go to the chemist for a free RX.
Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?

Sorry! It's shorthand for prescription (at least in The States - do you guys use a different one?). What time did Mum pick up the lg?
