Tax due now?

Hi I can't help noticing there are a lot if tax related posts recently. I thought this had to be tied up by April? Or even post April? Am I wrong I started childminding in September 2011.
Advice appreciated?

Tax bills for the year 2010 - 2011 have to be paid by 31st January 2012. If you started childminding Sept 2011 you will submit accounts for the period Sept 2011 to 5th April 2012 and you have until Oct 31st 2012 to submit a paper return and until Jan 31st 2013 to submit online. If you owe any tax you will have until 31st Jan 2013 to pay.

Don't worry it's everyone getting finished for the last tax year April 2010 to April 2011.

I did mine on-line last year. Do they remind you or do we have to do the chasing? I've got it all ready, just need to type it in.

I get a paper notification at the end of April, telling me to submit mine on-line. Although I have until 31st January to do it I actually submit it by the beginning of May. I don't think they do send a reminder after that. However I do get two SA statements as I pay two payments on account, in January and July. They send the statements when those payments are due. I got my last one just before Christmas, telling me I had to pay approx £3,000 by end of January
