    hi, ive been registered since august but have had 2 operations since then, i am now very close to recovering and want to get started asap but its taken that long (its been 10 months since my pre reg as i was waiting months for ofsted) im scared im going to forget something. i did all my policies and preocedures , all my risk assesments etc so think paperwork is ok, well hope so lol. Ive joined ncma and think i have to use there contracts, is this true? i dont really know what im asking for ha ha just panicking so if any one has any advice for starting childminding it would be much appreciated

    Hi Kim,

    Glad your on the road to recovery Sounds like you have all your paperwork in hand.

    I believe that if you have NCMA insurance that you have to use their contracts... I'm sure someone else will say if not

    NCMA will only get involved in a legal dispute if you use their contracts

    I am pleased you are feeling well enough to work now xx

    It might be worth inviting your local childminding support person or an experienced local childminder round to check your paperwork over and give you a few tips.
