the minimum contents we were told to have in our box from our first aid course was as follows:
    A guidance leaflet
20 Adhesive Dressing (individually wrapped and assorted sizes)
    2 sterile eye pads
6 triangular bangages (individually wrapped and sterile)
6 medium sterile wound dressing (individually wrapped and unmedicated)
2 large sterlie wound dressing (individually wrapped and unmedicated)
    6 safety pins
    Disposable Gloves

If taking box on outing then you would also need sterile eye wash in the kit too.
