Default car seats for older style zafira?

we have had a nightmare getting seats for this car, my son was in a gighback booster type seat with 5 point harness until we went to get another for my youngest halfords then informed us that toys are us had sold us that seat wrongly as had buckle crunch and was unsafe so they are now in maxi cosi tobi's! my prob is they are really expensive and now i am starting minding i will need another seat for a 2 yr old and seats i can use for 4/5 yr olds.
any recomendations that people know fit as i am finding it really hard to find correct advice about what seats actually fit!!!

Not sure as I don't have a zafira but have you looked at the Kiddy Comfort or Guardian car seat, or the Jane Montecarlo.
They can be used as high backed booster for an older child or used with a booster cushion from 9months.
They're expensive but suit every age from 9months to 11years without having to change car seats round in the car, all you need to do is adjust the height.
The Jane looks quite narrow so I'm hoping to get 3 in the back of my Picasso.
