    Default mindee came in screaming and potentially not well

    hi all..

    parents sometimes completely wide me up..

    one of my parents has brought in mindee today telling me that the mindee had a bad nights sleep and seemed overly tired yet had a bad nights sleep (if you know what I mean)

    she couldn't find her thermometer but she's given her calpol ...

    I have now no way of knowing if mindee is really sick or not now as she has just given her calpol before bring her here...

    what would you do with this one? I'm thinking if she has a temp by lunch time to call mum to pick up.. she's with me all day.. bearing in mind schools are shut today for striking.. I already have more kids to look after today and could do without a sick one...

    sorry am widgy.. am feeling rather run down meself x

    Calpol is not a sleeping aid nor should it be used as one. Calpol is not a 'soother' after a bad nights sleep

    ergo (just to be pedantic)

    if the child needs calpol then they are ill -IMO

    ill=send home

    How old is mindee and is she her usual self?

    Parents do seem to think Calpol solves everything & dish it out even when it isn't really needed. I'd wait until the Calopl wears off and see how mindee is. If she seems unwell & is unable to jin in with your normal routine then I'd send her home.
