Holiday pay

Hi everyone.
Next week I'm looking after a mindee for a childminder friend while she is on holiday. Childminder has already paid me as I assume mum pays her in advance. Everyone happy.
Then it occured to me that because the childminder has paid me, effectively this means she hasn'tt been paid any holiday money.
How do you all do this? If you find alternative cover with another local minder, does it mean you don't get hol pay? I know everyone does hol pay differently but I think most charge at least half for their hols.

When any of my charges use alternative care the parents are responsible for paying that carer (not me or via me). The parents are also agreeing to the other carers terms and conditions.
Me and a few colleagues who are willing to cover for each other have agreed though to honour each others terms and fee structures that the client has with their original carer - and this pleases the parents. (For me its a drop in fees though with two of my colleagues).

No I don't charge anything for my holidays and neither to my local colleagues.
the only 'paid time off' I get is bank and public hols
