    Default Abstracts- I need a magician!!!

    Ok would someone tell me how I am supposed to write an abstract of 60-100 words that includes all the following about my research project;

    Self contained synopsis of the research
    A brief summary of the purpose of the research
    who/what was involved
    menthods employed/numbers
    key/main findings
    key conclusions

    Seems impossible to me

    Know what you mean! I wrote mine and it ended up being 200 words+ so I had to prune it all down.

    I basically cut out all the flowery bits and explanations - just stuck to the facts.

    I thought I had done that but it is still 150 words

    I really need to put this in it's envelope and stop faffing with it

    I asked her if the word counts are strict for each section and she said they were just a guide. As long as the whole thing is 4000. If you can spare the words I would just leave it!

    Unfortunately I couldn't spare the words as I had waffled so much through the rest of it lol

    tell me about it - this was soooo hard to do. I went over and then they said in the feedback it would be good to see this and that in the abstract but then also told me it was too long for an abstract - can't win. Just keep all the points really brief hon.

    It is tricky. i would have been happy to have a look if I'd seen it in time and suggest some cut outs -although you know cutting words is NOT my forte
    if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got
