Can someone please tell me how long it took to get their assesment from signing the permission slip? And roughly how long til registration. Got a feeling I may lose a potential mindee if they take too long

Unfortunately it depends on how fast your doctor offers you an appointment and then how long Ofsted take to receive the information and make a final decision.
I think all you can do at this stage is keep pushing to get it as quickly as possible.
