I've recently done them for 3 sets of parents and all of them have thought it was a bit OTT and made a big thing about it! Just wondered if everyone else does contracts or am I odd?!

Of course, a mindee is a mindee whatever their age
I do a contract for every child in my care
except if i'm covering another minders sickness or holidays.
Yep, like chell says they are still a mindee...plus then you have everything in place for fees etc!
Hi ,
No you're not odd. I do contracts for everyone regardless. It's a business agreement: there's nothing odd about it.
They need to know what they're paying for; how much and when surely? besides, you wont be covered financially if there's no contract in place. Not to mention insurance...
The parents sound odd to me
Maybe they think its just like babysitting...
bws,
Wendy
I do full paperwork for everychild whatever their age. 3 of my families have 4 children each, (I only have 3 from one). All had to do them for each child. I explain that I have to as part of my regulations and insurance which makes them happy.
Definitely! And all the other paperwork too.

Keep smiling!
Absolutely! If something goes wrong you need a contract to cover yourself
Thanks everyone! good to know i'm not the only one!!
Yes I do it's good practice to keep everything the same. Parents love the official looking NCMA ones as long as they understand what's written on them. I've just split my policies and procedurers into 2 categories 1-under 8 and 2-over 8 everything else is the same.
