Got My First Mindee's!

So the lady that came yesterday with the 2 children (Girl 4 and Boy 7) brought the children around today to meet me. They're so sweet. She said the boy would be shy but he was fine once I got the Lego out

They start with me a week on Tuesday. They are coming on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 till 12:30

I'm soooooo excited about finally starting

I have one question though. I charge by the hour. They will actually be with me for 4 hours a day but the timing makes it over lap full hours IYSWIM So would I charge from 8 to 1? Which is 5 hours. I kinda want to keep my hours square and not end up with half hour gaps.

Well done on the new mindees Not sure what others would do but I charge by the hour too and would just charge hourly fee x 4 for this. Not quite sure what you meant by hours overlapping. Do you mean you would just want the mindees to start on an hour start eg. 8am rather than 8.30am?

No, I don't mind them starting at 8:30 and ending at 12:30 at all. I was just really wondering if anyone else charges kind of like each hour is a slot that you pay for. So 8 till 9 is a slot and 9 till 10 is a slot etc. That's kind of how I always assumed I'd charge but now I'm not sure if anyone else does that and if it's ok.
Them being here 8:30 till 12:30 would fill 5 slots.

No I just charge for the hours they are with me. I have two LOs from 8.30-3.30pm and one from 8.15-6.15 and I just charge them for them the 7hrs and the 10hrs. Think that a lot of parents would have something to say if I tried charging for time I'm not looking after their LOs!

Great getting new mindees. I only charge for the exact time they are here i dont think its fair to charge for an hour slot when they are only there for half.
Hope i get some phone calls soon its so quite in Ramsgate, Kent.

I charge for the hours that they are with me. If you want to only charge for full hours you would need to negotiate that with the parent and put it in the contract.
