No Vickie it's not a requirement for Ofsted.
However some local authorities say it is a requirement... and it is good practice.
It is a requirement to be registered with your local environmental health dept... that's in the Eyfs.

If you decide to do it you can do it online, you can get a free safer food better business pack for childminders from the food standards agency web site, this pack tells you what environmental health will want to see you doing
