    Default What did YOU plan?

Just wandered what you did with children during an inspection?

Last time I had a glueing sticking activity planned and it was a complete disaster.

Thinking more along the lines of puppets, jigsaws etc this time.

The inspection last a couple of hours at least. I had playdough and paper, colouring pens, what have you on the dining table and train set, animals and duplo in the lounge, sand and big cars in the garden so that we could move from one thing to another.

My last inspection I had my then 3yr old a, 2yr old and a 1yr old and I just set the ball pit up and they had free play. The 1 yr old was just settling in with me and cried the entire time (which he did for 3 months solid ) so I mostly sat and cuddled him while I talked to the inspector and the others played

Ofsted liked the fact that when the LO i had with me was playing i sat back and observed her, and didnt interupt her but engaged on her (mindees) terms, so please dont think you MUST be busy with them ALL the time
