    Default Contacting another setting

I have 4 year old for 1 afternoon a week, she goes to nursery for 1 1/2 days a week and another childminder for 1 morning.

Do I need to contact the nursery to say I am her childminder? (with parental permission of course)

Yes you do need to introduce yourself (I did it by letter) but don't bank on getting anything back.

I've done this with two nurseries so far since the EYFS and have got nothing at all back.

As long as you keep evidence that you've tried (photocopies) then that's all you can do.

I have a little girl 1 day a week who is at pre-school, and i wrote them a letter introducing myself and asking if they had any procedures in place for us to work together. The very next day they contacted me and told me all about their planning and what they are doing with the children. They have been brill!
