I am a term time only childminder, so have 13 weeks holiday per year. DH teaches so it suits us to get school hols off! It is a great arrangement, but does mean wherever we go, it is always really busy and expensive!

I take 4 weeks paid holiday and 1 week unpaid, the parents did'nt mind me having the extra week as there was no charge.

me too but most of my families are term-time only so I end up with 2 or 3 days off in the school holidays.

I don't take a set amount each year - though I should! I basically take between 4 and 5 weeks a year but I give my parents plenty of notice and I find cover with another childminder if I can.

Nearly the same - I take 2-5 weeks annually. Plenty notice.

At the momet we take four weeks. 1 at Easter, 2 in the Summer and 1 at Xmas, but we are seriously thinking of increasing this to 6 weeks and have 2 weeks off at a time.

I take 6 weeks unpaid, 2 at Easter, 2 in August and 2 over Christmas. It often takes me a week to catch up with paperwork, housework, and winding down enough to relax, so I always have 2 weeks together if possible.

I take two weeks in the summer and two at Xmas. I take all the bank hols and if I don't work I don't charge. If parents choose to go on holiday outside of mine then it is full charge. Hope that helps.

ditto. most children t-time only but 2 are all year round so I end up with either 2 or 3 days off in each school holiday.

I take 4 weeks per year, I usually have one in May/June, 2 in September and 1 between Christmas and New Year. As I don't have any young children of my own anymore I take off outside school holidays as it is cheaper and less crowded. This year I am taking one week in September and 2 weeks at Christmas though as my first grandchild is due September and thought it would be nice to have a more leisurely Christmas this year. If I am off I don't charge, if parents choose to take their holdidays at different times to me then it is full fee, I give plenty of notice, usually at the beginning of January.
