entertaining kids with BIG age gap!

what to do to try & entertain in the mid term break a 12 year old & two 3 half year olds!

Big age gap & find it tricky to juggle both & keep them interested.

how about making and putting on a puppet show or other dance show. get the 12 year olds creating and rehearsing whilst you entertain little ones and then they can put show on later.

or they can help little ones make spoon or sock puppets around a story everyone knows and everyone puts the show on later?

my 12 year old mindee enjoys looking on the internet for activities to do then helps to plan and supervise the activity and sometimes will help to tidy away too.
He enjoys reading stories to the younger children one being his sister age 2
He enjoys helping as a grown up for cooking to support the younger ones too

Basically i use him as my helper rather than treat him as a minded child (slave labour) without giving him any responsability of the younger children as thats not allowed (shame though he is great with them lol)
