help with taking off maclaren sun canopy please

hi.. my sun canopy on my maclaren has broken .. want to keep using buggy without the sun canopy but the plastic black clip is almost bolted onto the buggy I don't know how to get it off..

can anyone with a maclaren buggy have a look at theirs please and offer me advice on how to unclick it... thanks a lot.x

Mine fastened all the way round the metal pole.

It had a bit where I could push it down to slide it back through itself.

Like opening the straps on some buggies where you have to depress and slide it out because there is a raised line in the plastic.

I couldn't do it though, I wasn't strong enough but dp managed.

It's hard to explain sorry! Hth
