We have been doing activities for Austrailia Day as my mindee has 2 uncles who live out there and he went out for a month just before xmas so thought it would be nice to do some art work.

We have our Aboriginal dot painting / Our Digaridoo (sp) / and our cave paintings (hand prints..) not bad for a first attempt and the children had fun and making lots of noise with the digaridoo...I dont think im very arty but had a go

i like the hand prints ho did you do them there different and look good we are doing digeredoos and done koala masks looking for something else thanks for showing us

They look fab, we are starting ours next week... are trying the handprints on sandpaper like cave paintings!!!

Put the childs hand on a peice of paper and then just paint around them...didnt come out too great as lo's kept moving their hands but you can make out at least one hand ...guess it makes it a little more authentic

We are going to do some masks and having hot dogs (closest to a bbq on tuesday might attempt lemmingtons !!! got a couple of ozzy recipes) got a few other ideas to do.... have made my mind up which ones to do though...mindees mum thought they were good too...so at least their happy
