    Default Sticky Notes

I've got some small observations on sticky notes just something quick which I notice and jot down. Do you transfer these onto smaller observation sheets or keep them on the sticky note paper? if so what do you do with them then?

No offence to anyone that uses them, but I think they look tatty in a child's folder.

I try and think about what I would like to receive as a parent

I just glue them in I figure as it's an ad hoc it doesn't matter if it looks ad hoc. Like when I transcribe what the child is saying. It may look tatty, but I also think it looks real - my post it not notes are just that, not big long malarkeys, they don't need to be dressed up.

So the answer to your question is - do what feels right I think we all do these things so differently and all do what we feel is right for us. There's no right answer x

I keep a roll of sticky white labels to hand, these can then be stuck in book next to photo or as they are with any other info written along side on an obs sheet if necessary,ie, next steps, eyfs links.

I just stick them onto a sheet of A3 paper divided into the 6 areas of learning. I make sure each one is timed and dated. I thought I would write them all up when I started minding, but to be honest it just increases the amounit of paperwork. I like the idea about sticky labels actually. I noticed Ds1s playgroup use these.

I used to write them up but the nursery LO attends use sticky Notes so I now put them on a sheet of paper so they don't fall out but its up to you.
