    Default medication question again!

Hi I have a mindee who has been off with a cough cold bug. He's back today, still has it but is better.

His dad dropped him off, told me to call mum if he needed to go home and left. When I was going thro his bag i found a bottle of antibiotics with a note on his diary to give him 5ml at lunchtime!

Obviously I have no signed permission forms! Can I take the note on the post it as written permission to give it to him and get all the forms completed when they collect. Was gonna text mum too to check when he last had it so can I also use that txt as back up or can i not give it to him as it's prescribed and I have no forms completed?

    Thanks

No, I would ring the parent and ask them to email or text you immediate directions as to what to do with medication. Does it need storing in the fridge etc, how much to gve, when to give etc. They will need to sign when they get to you later.
I would also point out it was a health and safety issue by just leaving the meds in the bag .
