i'm doing my swimming RA and i'm stuck i can't think of the word. please complete that sentence for me...

Assist the children to change into their swimming costume while promoting independence and ******* skills

i'm sure there is a word for it......

no seriously I really thought there was a word for when they learn to dress and undress themselves, but it was maybe independance skills ??

you know what i mean though?

I was going to say personal skills - does this cover dressing and undressing themselves?

Or just finish you sentance "independence and the ability to dress and undress self".
