    Default Safety

I decided that because my 4 after schoolers, including my own son, are going on an activity holiday with school in March we would have Safety as our theme for the month. Got loads of free stuff on fire, rail and road safety and little bits on Sun, Home, Garden, Stranger, Personal (ie germs etc) and Water. Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received. Co-incidentally they have had a Road Safety guy to talk to them in school today and have brought home lots of free bits . I told them I had arranged it specially to tie in with our subject - they believed me - so I am super-minder today.

Sounds like you are going to have great fun!

One of the things I do with older children is to show just how quickly and how little water it takes for a non- or weak swimmer to drown. I use a doll and the water tray with dribbles and then more dribbles of water. Scary but might make them think twice acting daft near water
