    Default the best activity ever

ok i have found something that will keep my son amused for hours on end and it is relatively free. I give him a few paint brushes of various sizes (the ones you paint walls with not craft ones) and a bucket of water then put him in the garden. He spends ages painting every surface he can find from the grass to the fence to the path, its a never ending activity because the sun keeps drying it up. Then when he runs out of water he looks for some more either using the garden tap or scooping it out of the water tray, he even leaves a bucket in the garden to catch rain water so he has a good supply for the next time. All I have to do is make sure I dont sit in one place too long or I would get "painted" too

Yeah ! I remember doing this as a child but I used to mix the water with mud and then 'paint' everything

My fence has been 'painted' 3 times a day for the past 2 days. Mindees all love it - no mess either!!

One mindee 'scrubbed' the patio last week with the paint brushes. Got a pack of brushes from ASDA for £1

I've done this at pre-school when i've been helping out. We have a large wooden gate that goes dark when water is applied so i just started to paint and i had at least 6 of the children helping out and they spent a whole HOUR! just putting water on the gate.

My mindees LOVE this - from 18 months up to 11!!

Today I gave them a large bowl of very foamy water and brushes, and they washed down the rather dirty playhouse!!

My mindee and daughter love this too. When i worked in a nursery we used to do this and the kids would paint away for ages.
