Default Do I need to tell Ofsted?

My son turns 8 this week and I was wondering if I need to tell ofsted as my certificate says that I can mind 4 children under the age of 8. So does that mean that I no longer have to count my eldest in my ratio and that I'd be registered for 5 under 8's?

Sorry probably a silly question plus I have no intention of minding 5 children at once

Yes they will change your numbers. I have to do this as my ds turns 8 next month and dd is 1 next week. They will send you a new certificate.

However last time I told them of a change they completly wiped my ds of and when i queried it they asked if I was sure
When someone tells you nothing is impossible, tell them to go slam a revolving door

I had to send my request to count my daughter as over8's in writing but different areas do different things but yep it does mean she is no longer counted in your numbers.
