Default how do you fill your days

I have recently registered and i am trying to do a time table on what a day would be like but with my 8 month old baby i am a bit lost on what a day would consist. Of course it would be according to which children I would mind but I would love to know how a typical day is like for you

I have set days when i go to regular toddler groups in the mornings. The children i care for tend to need a sleep in the afternoon. Those that don't either do free play or we do an organised activity a couple of times a week.

I start quite early some days and time before school is often filled with doing breakfast and some kids like to watch TV for a while.

After schoolers are the same really - they know where all my resources are and sometimes they will want arts and crafts or just to chill out or play in the garden.

After tea before they are collected the TV can go on again for those that want it.

I think its important that you get some regular contact with other adults otherwise i find you get a bit stir crazy!
I'm not paranoid - the world IS out to get me!

I thought that was a trick question and you didn't have enough to do!

I think there are a few daily routines on here plus toddler groups etc...

    huggableshelly, I loved that list!!!!

Especially the bit about standing in playground and taking home any left over children, that sounds like me

A couple of weeks ago when I was collecting the last two (already had four with me collected from other side of school), the teaching assistant actually asked me 'Are you taking Gregory?' and I said 'no, he's not one of mine!' and then she said 'Are you sure?'

    Had beautiful painting and printing activity planned for this week {that I spent sat eve cutting out}

Only snag is I have no idea when I'm going to fit it in!!!!

Seem to have spent most of the week changing pooey nappies.

And repairing house after 2 yr old tazmanian devil has trashed it.

I soooo wish I was joking.

ooooh my days quite simple at the moment

    8.00 arrive
8.40 School with DD (if DH here he does it - so thats most days)
9.30 we go out somewhere everyday
    12.00 prepare & eat lunch
    1.00 sleep
    3.00 mindee (most days)
    3.05 School run (4 days)
    4.00-5.15 afterschoolers home

    4.30 Fri mindee arrives
    5.30 Thurs 7 Fri mindee dinner/tea
    6.00 Thurs & Fri 1 home
6.30 Fri & Sat mindee sleep
Sometimes we go out and take mindee or mindee plays when wakes
    10.00 mindee home.

As I'm getting busier its getting more hectic but I'm always busy but I do take the kiddies out somewhere different at least 4 days in the week - they get a chance to do different activities and mix with other children.

hee hee glad I made a few of you laugh!

I take mine out the park or adventure playground pending on age

walk around the block ... usually its linked with posting a letter

local childrens centre when something is on that interests either of the younger mindees

kidzone/ball pit every so often but its costly and again depends on ages of the children as most of my afterschoolers are too tall to play there now

occasional walks to and from school pending onnumbers and ages ... most of the time its safer in the car (and I'm lazy)

shopping in town .. there is a train and slide there that they like to play on and they love the pound shop as they get to put something they want in the basket too ... the older ones have their own lists and are responsible for buying what is on their list usually glue, paper, crisps etc stuff we can get cheaper in town compared to ordering on the net

a local cm to me has paid for memberships to the zoo and goes there often

I do parks, libraries, soft play, sealife, local castle - don't do drop in coz room so small.
If its not a drop off/pick up day then its important to get out or have other cms visit - have spent the odd day at home and being in all day without visitors drives me loopy and can make it a long day. Somedays will just have rides on local train as one mindee loves this. I have a few cmder friends and we visit each other and this keeps both me and the mindees happy.
