I put in for a variation, well not so much a variation but just to ask for more children as I am only reg for 3 under 8 at the moment. I did this last fri so a week ago, still not heard. Should I call them or am I being impatient how long does this normally take?

I would give it a little more time. If nothing heard in another seven days then phone them.

I think mine took a week, but I needed an urgent one for a week and a half later - I actually had an Ofsted person ring to say it had been agreed and the stuff was in the post

I sent off mine jan 16th. Mrs.Ofsted came and granted it on................... mar 19th

I think this timescale is the exception rather than the rule.
